オーストリア・ワイン・マーケティング協会は、オーストリアワイン業界に関して入手可能な全ての事実とデータを収集・編集し、国内・国外の利用者に向けて定期的に、またアップ・トゥー・デートに、発行する責務を負う。最も最近の、2010年のブドウ畑の調査に基づき、我々は最新の包括的な数字を提供することができる。その前の調査が1999年に行われたことから、ワイン業界の構造はそれ以来大きく変わっており、生産者数の劇的減少を目の当たりにし、現存するワイナリーの平均畑面積は増加した。同様に、畑の再建を目的とした交付金によって、栽培されたブドウ品種の幅に大きな変化が起こり、最も顕著なのは、赤ワイン品種の増加で、全てのブドウ栽培面積の1/.3を占めるまでになった。一貫性と正確さを画した分析にも関わらず、出典が異なることから、些細な数字の食い違いは存在する。
