Perhaps a little more of it?

Great days encourage big gifts: bottle formats like magnum or double magnum not only leave a memorable impression under the Christmas tree, but also offer a very practical advantage: the wine matures more slowly & evenly, because larger bottles contain less oxygen in relation to the volume of wine, while the thicker glass minimises influences of light & temperature.

Delicious on the holiday table

If one does not wish to w-a-i-t for the bottle to be uncorked & enjoyed, it becomes advisable to turn to finely matured wines. These can also be combined quite handsomely with the Christmas menu. On the classic Austrian table, robust white wine excels alongside the traditional Christmas carp. And it’s not only opulent Grüner Veltliner that most effectively frames the Christmas goose or the Christmas turkey – just as typically Austrian: cool & fruit-forward red wines work & play beautifully along with... And after the shared repast, majestic red wines & nobly sweet rarities will usher convivial holiday evenings into a peaceful & pleasurable night.

"I like best to give something that I myself would enjoy. Austrian wine hits the centre of the bulls-eye, because as small our country might be compared to other wine-producing nations, the variety is ever so great – ranging from elegant Sekt to classic white wines, matured reds, velvety dessert wines, and on to rarities that are anything but ordinary. My letter to Father Christmas: Wine from Austria, please."
