Information on location and soil

Our Chardonnay grapes grow on deep layers of Loess, the most typical type of soil in our wine region. The vineyards are situated just outside our small home- town Neudegg in the very northern part of the Wagram. A careful selection and picking process is followed by fermentation and maturation in small oak barrels, which were crafted of wood sourced from our nearby Mannhartsberg forrests. These unique conditions allow for the production of our very own Chardonnay – substantial, refreshing with some subtle spiciness.
