Information on location and soil

Our Pinot Noir grapes grow on deep layers of Loess, the most typical type of soil in our wine region. The vineyards are situated just outside our small hometown Neudegg in the very northern part of the Wagram. A careful selection and picking process is followed by maturation in small oak barrels, which were crafted of wood sourced from our nearby Manhartsberg forrests. These unique conditions allow for the production of our very own Pinot Noir – pronounced spiciness and subtle fruit, ending in a very long chocolate-cherry finish.
