Information on location and soil

Shell/coral limestone, Opok (a tertiary soil – clay and marl), thin sandy layer. Protected south facing basin location, cultivated solely by Sattlerhof

Information on maturation

Fermented and matured on the lees for 18 month in 225 and 300 liter barriques, first and second filling

Smell

Sensuous, bewitching aromas, yet delicate, wonderfully playful and fine-boned. Subtle butter caramel, vanilla, and ethereal spice notes are accompanied by banana and chocolate.

Taste

Delicate nuances of lemon liqueur and grapefruit refresh the palate and lend this enormously deep wine incredibly fine, inimitable subtlety. The deep calcareous soil provides a long, salty finish. This Pinot Blanc has plenty of potential for the future

Food recommendation

With braised veal, venison and feathered game
